What does living wholly mean to you?
It encompasses so much more than the food you eat. It means nourishing the mind, body, and soul. We really need to learn how to love ourselves, be able to give love to others and be comfortable with receiving love. We need to not be afraid of the unknown and follow our passion.
What are your top 3 tips for holistic living?
1.Sleep! You can never get too much of it.
2.Hydration! A minimum of 16 ozs. of filtered water with ½ lemon 3x per day every day
3.Relaxation! A daily practice of meditation, yoga, hiking in nature and even reflexology foot massages
What is your self-care practice?
Starting every morning with lemon water, beginning the day with a grateful heart, fitting in time for a reflexology massage 1x per week, having a daily green juice, committing to power yoga at least 3x per week, treating my skin with Shiva Rose facial oil, spending time with my family and nurturing friendships
Do you have any teachers you work with to inspire and support your evolution in consciousness? If so, who and how did you meet them?
I have had many teachers on my journey. The ones who stand out are two incredible energy healers over the last 8 years. They both taught me to trust my instincts, intuition and get back to loving myself (with all my flaws!). I’ve never felt more calm and centered in my entire life even though my life isn’t calm.
They really showed me how to tune into my clients to get to the root of their health concerns quickly. I’m interested in getting my clients healthy and feeling empowered as fast as I can. I still work with one of them right now and he has changed not only my life, but my family, friends and clients lives too. He shows you how to regain your power and stay in that place so you can achieve all of your desires. His name is Alessandro Giannetti - http://www.guidedlighthealing.com
What has been the most challenging experience in your life that turned out to be the most meaningful opportunity to your life's path?
Being a mother, going through my life changing cancer diagnosis, and watching my strong husband waste away from cancer were all opportunities to learn. These experiences forced me to confront the emotional component to healing and being honest about the life I really wanted to live. When I finally took responsibility for my actions, everything else fell into place. It was through all of this, I discovered nutrition and helping others to heal is my passion.
What is your favorite detox?
I make a detox tonic with George’s Aloe Vera, Tonix Coconut Kefir, Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar, fresh lemon, ginger, pinch of sea salt and “love” water.
Also, I always have a detox green juice and it can be as simple as celery, cucumber, romaine, parsley, lemon, ginger (I add turmeric as often as I can and a tablespoon of chia seeds for extra protein, fiber and omega 3’s)
What gifts do you want to contribute to the world?
Believing in the power of yourself and that you can heal anything, that anything is possible. I want to share my story in the hopes that it inspires others to take control of their health.
What super-natural gift would you choose?
There is a guy I follow in my business called, the Medical Medium. He has a healing “super-natural” gift that I would love to have, but he was born with it and I’ve had to learn the hard way to tune in to what is going on with my clients ;) He can scan your body and tell you what is at the root of your health issues and give you the tools to help heal it. I think this is incredibly fascinating!
Who inspires you?
My daughters and clients inspire me. There is nothing more gratifying than seeing my girls embrace learning how to live a more healthy, loving and calm life. Also, it’s intoxicating to watch my clients be happy, calm and finally get the things they never thought were possible. This is what makes it all worth is and brings purpose into my life.
What is your present state of mind?
Focused, energized, excited about the future. I’m 55 yrs old and I feel better now than I ever have. I’m embracing this time of my life and feeling like I’m finally on the trajectory that I’ve always wanted to be one.
What music are you listening to right now?
My fiancé is a huge music lover! He used to have his own jazz radio show in college and he plays the guitar. He has turned me onto some incredible jazz music and guitar players. One of my favorite people right now is Jonny Lang.
What are you reading right now?
I just finished Medical Medium: Secrets Behind Chronic and Mystery Illness and How to Finally Heal, by Anthony William. I couldn’t put it down, it details what is believed to be root causes for chronic illness and disease and some fascinating ways to heal.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
This is a tough one, because I love to travel. Right now, India is on my list. I would love to do a yoga retreat in India, because I’m interested in learning more about their healing modalities.
What has been your most memorable revelation while traveling?
Traveling is one of the most important schools of life. I feel like I become wiser and more knowledgeable about what I want in life, because I’m getting acquainted with other ways of thinking and living.
What are your “must haves” while traveling?
Charcoal tablets always, for when I’m eating and drinking things I’m not so used to, which always happens when traveling ;)
I take a non-refrigerated probiotic (like Dr. Ohhira’s Professional Strength) and digestive enzymes to help keep my digestive system regular.
I always pack food for the plane ride, my super seed bars are a travel favorite (https://elissagoodman.com/snacks/classic-glo-bars/)
What is your favorite quote?
“You have the power to heal your life, and you need to know that. We think so often that we are helpless but we’re not. We always have the power of our minds. Claim and consciously use your power.” ~Louise L. Hay
